These scams are a whole industry in Africa, it's practically an art form. Last year I read a really delightful debut novel by a young Nigerian which is all about some of the characters involved in this 'business'.
'I Do Not Come to You by Chance' by Adaobi Tricia Nwanbani - I think its published by Penguin. Very funny, I recommend it highly.

Hello Mr Leather
I've been browsing through your website. I totally agree with your comments about Word and Windows (I've always been a Mac user myself, but coax PCs back into action for friends.

NeoOffice is a lot like Word, but completely free. Your work can be saved as a Word doc, so no problem for whoever you send it to.

You might also like Scrivener. Developed by a Mac nut who also likes literature, what could be better? It's very good and very cheap.
