Nightfall - the US edition

Nightmare - the third book in the Jack Nightingale supernatural detective series will be published by Hodder and Stoughton in the UK next week - following on from Nightfall and Midnight.

It rounds off the trilogy but sets the scene for a continuing series based around Jack - solving crimes and battling the forces of darkness. I have great fun writing the Nightingale books and the research is a blast!

Meanwhile, Amazon is preparing to publish the first book - Nightfall - in the United States. They will be using their 47North imprint and will have the book out in March, followed soon afterwards by the other two. It's going to be exciting seeing them launched onto the American market!

The US cover does not look the same as the one you posted earlier with the 666 numerals on the wall and a shadowy figure running away. Will the original cover still be the one the rest of the world gets? Not long to wait now. Carolyn

Hi Carolyn - This will be just for the US, everyone else will get the Hodder and Stoughton edition!

Midnight - US edition is no longer available on Amazon Kindle! Can you tell me why? I just got my Kindle and loved Nightfall. Was really looking forward to reading Midnight. Wish we didn't have to wait so long for your books :(

Hi Shelley - Amazon are publishing the Nightingale trilogy, starting with Nightfall next week.... Midnight will be out in a couple of months. It has been re-edited and is much improved, I think!

Hi Stephen: I have just finished Nightmare which was a fun read but I would like to ask you, although Jack's life can be changed, how can the people living in what was his "present" still exist in both his new "present" and what will be his new "future"? Or am I being pedantic?!

No you're not pedantic, Carolyn, it's something I'm wrestling with at the moment. Because of what happens at the end of NIghtmare, Jack's life changes dramatically obviously. And some people he thought were gone for good are now back in his life. But also some people who were in his life now aren't. And what about the house? Does he still have that? I think he doesn't, but I'm still thinking about it! :-)
