Midnight - Today Is Publication Day!

Midnight is published in mass market paperback today so will hopefully be in a bookshop or supermarket near you! It's the second in the Jack Nightingale trilogy and the third, Nightmare, is already done and dusted.

I've just started work on a new eBook - The Bestseller - about a writer who kills (literally) to write a bestselling novel. Hopefully it'll be done by the summer which is when I have to start on the new Spider Shepherd novel. The Spider Shepherd novel for this year is already done - Fair Game will be out in July. The one for next year will be about home-grown Islamic terrorists and I'm still trying to work out whether or not to set it during the Olympics.... The danger is that I'll be caught out by events. We'll see!

I am, it's fair to say, gagging to read Nightmare. The first two books in this series were monumentally entertaining reads.

Any idea when the publishers will let this one out into the wild? I'm guessing it won't be for a little while.

Stephen,

I wandered over here from my friend Joe Konrath's site. I have not read you and I must rectify that right away. And - reading my fellow-countryman Jack Higgins inspired me (and taught me ) how to write thrillers. And I never knew that you lived (or wrote, I should say) in Dublin. If you ever wander into Connemara, give me a call.
Cheers, Pat.
