Take Two - my new crime thriller

I've started the new year with a bang - by releasing a new 92,000 word crime thriller.  The book is Take Two and it's now available on Kindle and Smashwords.

It's about a soap opera star who witnesses a gangland killing. Carolyn Castle is one of the most famous faces in the UK, but she realises that her fame could be the death of her.  The killer is charismatic gangster Warwick Richards and he's more than capable of killing again to protect his secret. But does he know that Carolyn saw him commit the murder?

I had great fun writing it. Two of my books - The Stretch and The Bombmaker - were filmed for Sky One and I was closely involved in all stages of their production so I was able to use a lot of that background in Take Two.

Stephen Leather - The New Spider Shepherd?

Sadly not, though I love the idea of Stephen Leather as Spider!  My friend Joe Lumley put together this mock cover and I think it's brilliant.  I love the title, too!  But the next Spider book will be True Colours and that's definitely not me on the cover!  Spider is younger, fitter and better looking than me, obviously!

Merry Christmas Everybody!

I hope you and your loved ones all have a great Christmas and that all of your wishes come true in the new year!

As a Christmas gift, please drop by Smashwords and pick up a free copy of the Inspector Zhang Boxed Set, which usually sells for $2.99.

The great thing about Smashwords is that you don't need an eReader - you can download it as a PDF or read it online.

Enjoy the holidays and I'll see you again in the New Year!

I Wish It Was Real!

My friend Ellen did this for me. I love it!  I wish that it was a real advertising campaign but sadly it isn't!    And I love the red shoes!  :-)

Oh, the book is real enough.  Friendly Fire, it's a Spider Shepherd short story. You can find it  HERE in the UK and HERE in the US!

Nightshade Cover

Hodder have come back with a new cover idea for the new Jack Nightingale supernatural thriller, Nightshade.  The book is being edited as we speak and should be in the shops next April!

New Cover For Spider Shepherd

Hodder have come up with a terrific cover for the new (and as yet unwritten!) Spider Shepherd book, True Colours.  Having the title and cover ready before the book is finished does concentrate the mind wonderfully!

My New Boxed Set

I've just put my new boxed set up on Kindle.  It has three of my Asian Heat erotic stories, plus three very short stories set in Thailand.

The stories in this collection are THE THREESOME (where a guy gets more than he bargains for when he takes his wife to Thailand to fulfill a long-standing fantasy), THE ALPHABET GAME (where a man tries to sleep with girls corresponding to the letters of the alphabet) and THE PREGNANT WIFE (in which a guy meets the girl of his dreams when he least expects it).
