Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everybody! I've been playing on my daughter's Wii today. That was her main Chistmas gift, plus a Sony computer. The Wii is great fun and I can see me buying one for myself before too long! I played the boxing game and worked up quite a sweat so I can see it being a lot more fun than going to the gym. Christmas is a working day for me and I'll probably get 1,500 to 2,000 words done. That's one of the great things about being a writer, you can work when you want. Or not, as the case might be! Wherever in the world you are, I hope you have a fun day!

Merry Christmas mate...I am from Canada and just finished reading "Private Dancer"....brilliant work here, kudos.
I met someone online from Thailand and known her for about a year....to be blunt reading the book you have scared the shit outta of me!
Cheers...try the Mario Kart game for Wii, your daughter and you should get a rise out of that.
Happy New Year!!Just one comment;why don't you bring back Mike Cramer?Shepherd is not even half as interesting as a character. I loved your pre Dan Shepherd work.I thought double tap, long shot, hungry ghost,Tango one,the vets and tunnel rats were all brilliant books, great reads.I still read all your Dan Shepherd work, however in my humble opinion is a mediocre one-no insult intended.Obviously since i still read your books you remain one of my favorite authors.

Hi Sandhu - Glad you enjoyed Private Dancer! I would be careful about anyone you meet online, especially Thai girls! The online dating sites are every bit as dangerous as the go-go bars! My daughter has Mario Kart and loves it, though after three solid days of playing with her Wii she has lost the use of her arms, pretty much!
Happy New Year Drew. I think the main reason I can't bring Cramer back is that he dies at the end of The Double Tap! Seriously, it was a mistake killing him off, and other than doing a retropective story, ie before he died, I'm pretty much locked out of doing another Cramer book. In many ways Dan 'Spider' Shepherd is similar to Cramer, with the bonus that we get to see more of his personal life. And the sort of things that happen to Shepherd are pretty much what would be happening to Cramer if he was still around. I winced at the 'mediocre' tag. Ouch! I would say that the Dan Shepherd books sell at about twice the rate of the Cramer books! But no offence taken, and maybe if you get the chance, post again and let me know what you think would make the books less mediocre.
